# Take in the panoramic views from the Waitakere Rainforest. We’ll give a guided tour through the Arataki Information Centre, explaining points of interest with local knowledge and history.
# Visit Muriwai Beach, and the Takapu Gannet Colony, (as our family has lived here since 1922, we share the history that many other ‘visiting’ tour operators have not experienced)
# Enjoy honey-sampling at ‘BeesOnline’. (We can even organise a personalised ‘hive-opening’ demonstration for your cruise boat group.)
# Do wine-tasting at an award-winning winery. This is the Historic wine producing region of New Zealand and we have many stories to tell!
# Be welcomed into our ‘Motutara’ Homestead with a MAORI mihi (address). Have an overview on Maori culture, and look around our typical family home.
# Tour our woolshed and learn all about wool production on a New Zealand sheep farm.
No sheep farm “shows” here!! – we are a genuine working farm, (our woolshed was built in 1930)

This ‘themed’ lunch makes for a uniquely informative and interesting meal, and includes local wines or New Zealand beer. It’s also the chance for overseas people to talk to their hosts; (that’s us!), who are real sheep farmers as well. Over at our woolshed, we have a shearing demonstration and an explanation on wool production in New Zealand. Bookings Essential!
